Financial Services: AI Literacy & Enablement

Financial Services: AI Literacy & Enablement

·

Customer Background

A major financial services company with over 20K employees wanted to save $20M by leveraging AI while connecting their AI COE to business units across the organization.

Project

The goal was to enable more employees with "everyday AI" tools and drive adoption, while identifying "game changing" AI use cases to collaborate on with the COE.

Outline

The AlignAI platform increased AI literacy, registered high-value AI use cases, and drove increased collaboration between the COE and the business.

The Approach

The team implemented Role Specific Playbooks — AI Foundations playbooks that highlight company-specific AI policies and tools available for each person in the organization. Alongside these, Best Practices content covered AI prompting techniques and how to identify and scope a use case for AI. Business users also leveraged a Use Case Registry through the use case copilot to identify strategic opportunities and inefficiencies that AI can support. Finally, Enablement Playbooks provided a catalog of real examples of AI usage across the enterprise to drive adoption.

Success Metrics

Copilot utilization increased significantly, with more associates leveraging Microsoft M365 Copilot in their everyday tasks — a monthly 30% lift saving an estimated 5,000 hours per week. The finance department identified $25M of value across 6 top AI use cases. Survey results also showed a 30% lift in Data & AI Literacy across roles, driving more participation in data and AI initiatives and adoption.

AlignAI Package

To achieve these results, the company invested in a comprehensive AlignAI package including the AlignAI Platform (Starter license with Playbook Studio, Playbook Library, Use Case Catalog, and Solution Repository), Live Training for Microsoft M365 Copilot for over 1,000 associates across the enterprise plus office hours, and GenAI Solution Design & Development Support to assist in designing and building custom generative AI solutions with the AI COE team.
